Set in the heart of the desert, 2 hours drive from Muscat, is a colorful and ethnic 2372sqm development in Bidiyah, Desert Rose Camp.The entire property consists of 33 custom-designed tents, four suites and two royal suites.Real Visions Interiors was commissioned by a private developer to illustrate his vision for the camp, keeping in mind traditional art, culture, and values, especially a strong focus on Oman’s incredible hospitality.

The modern Bedouin tents are designed for lounging as well as comfortable overnight stays. The interiors of the tent follow the traditional Omani design style. Colors of the national flag are used on the fabrics, wall coverings and cushions. Moroccan style hanging lanterns hang from the centre of each tent for warm lighting, and the floors are covered with intricate Persian carpets. The camp also includes a main reception building in a minimalistic Arabic style, an outdoor kitchen facility, children’s play area and freestanding gazebos for group gatherings. The development is surrounded by tall dessert palms, specially imported and replanted into the area in a controlled geometrical pattern. The walk ways between tents are illuminated for visitors to find their way around the camp at night. Finally, the eye-catching central pool area has seating all around, with illuminated lighting making night-time an enchanting experience.
